Let's look at the schedule of both the AFC East and the AFC South to compare schedule. this is not a thread to bash the AFC south teams or says that the East is better but a response to all the people bashing the AFC East easy schedule next year.
NFC East NFC South
Cowboys 13-3 #1 seed Buccaneers 9-7 #4 seed
Giants 10-6 #5 seed Panthers 7-9
Redskins 9-7 #6 seed Saints 7-9
Eagles 8-8 Falcons 4-12
Overall win % .625 Overall win %:.421
AFC North AFC West
Steelers 10-6 #4 seec Chargers 11-5 #3 seed
Browns 10-6 Broncos 7-9
Bengals 7-9 Chiefs 4-12
Ravens 5-11 Raiders 4-12
:Overall win %:.500 Overall win %:.406
Now ind schedule
Colts-Patriots & Ravens added .480 overall win %:.800
Patriots:Colts & Chargers added .640 overall win %:1.0
Jaguars-Bills & Steelers added .466 overall win %..900
Bills-Jaguars & Broncos added .600 overal win %:.300
Titans-Jets & Bengals added .420 overall win %:.600
Jets-Titans & Chiefs added .573 overall win %:.200
Texans-Dolphins & Browns added .420 overal win %:.600
Dolphins-Texans & Raiders added .560 overall win 5;.1
now i'm not saying that the south doesn't have good teams the colts are an elite team and have been for years and the jaguars have been rising up. they may of had some breaks and aren't as good as advertised i think the titans & the texans may be some overated. we will see next season if they can be consistently good. some of the percentage may be off a litl but should be about right. the bills got 4 out of 7 of their wins from the dolphins + jets so they aren't by any means on the same level as the jags or the titans.
AFC South a product of an easy schedule?
